Our secluded 6 x 12 metre swimming pool overlooks the surrounding countryside and woodland and benefits from being in all day sunshine. It has been fitted with a hard cover thus complying with French safety regulations and is also equipped with internal lights for occasional after dark swimming.

In addition to the portable barbeques on the gite terraces, there is a stone barbeque situated close to the pool together with picnic benches. An early evening barbeque can therefore be prepared in the sunshine whilst supervising the late dippers !!

Our large garden provides plenty of space for play and games – we have erected a football net, and badminton set, boules and bicycles are available.

Other activities in the immediate vicinity include tennis courts & football pitch (a 10 minute walk away in the village), horse-riding, paintball, fishing and canoeing. For the more adventurous, microlight hire is also available in nearby Brantome.

France, of course, is famous for its wonderful markets, every town and village has at least one a week offering not only local food specialities but also art, craft and clothes etc; Certainly they are a great way of soaking up the local atmosphere as well as a chance to sample fresh local produce.

Perigueux hosts a market most days during summer months, the larger ones being on Wednesday and Saturday.
